Mary Guzman Student of the Month

Mary Guzman who trains at our Goleta Dojo. To receive this award students demonstrate outstanding character in Trustworthiness Responsibility, Caring Fairness & Respect.

Proud Parents: Leonard and Charlotte: Mary is a strong and caring girl. She loves Karate, and loves all her classmates. In class, she listens attentively to Sensei Brian and the other senseis, and does her best to do the techniques being shown in class. She acts as a role model for her younger classmates, for example by rising to attention stance very quickly and by volunteering eagerly to demonstrate Karate moves. At home or at a park, Mary practices with her Dad all of her techniques. She also works on difficult techniques until she improves her skill in them. Mary is a girl who genuinely enjoys helping others. Her passion for cooking has recently brought her into the kitchen with her Mom, where she has diligently helped prepare meals. Her love for her little sister finds her helping to dress her in the morning and even to put on her
cleats and shin guards during soccer practice. She sets and clears the table and makes her bed regularly. She also helps her Dad garden. Mary also obeys her parents and her teachers.
Mary’s Mom and Dad are very proud of her strength of character and her eagerness to learn new things, especially Karate.
