Riley Catalano Who Traiins at our Goleta Dojo. To receive this award students demonstrate outstanding character in Responsibility, Caring, Fairness, Trustworthiness & Respect.
Proud Parents Anthony & Diana: “I can’t do it yet, but I can try.” It’s a phrase Riley learned from Sensei, and it perfectly captures how she approaches learning, whether she’s in karate class, at school, or at home.
Riley loves karate because it’s a place where fun and learning go hand in hand. Through consistent practice and hard work, she’s watched herself grow stronger and more confident with each class. She enjoys training, teamwork, and especially games like capture the flag.
What truly makes Riley shine, though, is who she is outside the dojo. She’s silly, kind, and playful, with a thoughtful heart. She loves writing encouraging notes to friends when they’re feeling sad, bringing people their favorite snacks, and spending time reading or playing with her friends. She brings her “I can try” spirit to learning Spanish, reading challenging books, and skiing tougher runs. At home, she even practices her karate skills by teaching her younger sister, who just might be joining Tiny Tigers next year.”
.Riley is grateful for the supportive students in her Kid Power class, where teammates encourage one another and help each other improve every week.
Congratulations Riley, it’s easy to see your passion for learning Martial Arts. Your energy, spirit, and smile are contagious. You truly light up the whole room in every class.
Your Proud Sensei,
Brian Jordan
